Ack Help! Last parts needed! Rear Bumper Woes.
Hi, I am near to wrap up my 64 subbie, and feeling like a dead end on two parts:
I bought the project in baskets, and promised these were there..SURPRISE! Does anyone have any leads for these? Been wondering about options for back bumper. Could I use a front bumper and reposition the mounting holes / re-chrome or paint? Thanks, Scottie |

Sorry but this was removed as it makes this thread a WTB and a non supporting member is not allowed to do this. Please see my post below. List your bumper in the Part For Sale and post the link here. That would be allowed. Thanks for understanding.

the rear bumper bracket may be the same as a fleetside? also the window locks may be found on this forum, have you posted on the parts section?

Rear bumper actually bolts to the center 4 bolts end of the frame and the braces can be used from a fleetside which are available as reproductions.

Just a note, I am going to leave this open but everyone, do not post anything for sale directly in this thread. Only post up links to items that would be for sale (ads from this forum, Craigslist, etc.). If direct for sale ads happens, this thread will be locked as it will violate forum rules.
As for a rear bumper, though it would not be exactly the same but you could use a front, drill a few new holes, weld up a couple and then have it re-chromed.

Re: Ack Help! Last parts needed! Rear Bumper Woes.
Thanks for the help and leads...I'm on it. Does anyone know if there is a difference between bumpers and brackets for 60-63 vs 64-66? I have a 64 body on a 60 X chassis. Found out there was a difference in the frame rail spacing when dealing with the gas tank.
Thanks, Scottie |

there is about 10" of difference in mounting. rear frame width 60-62 - 42" and the later frames 34"

Yes, like ron says.
60-62 are different than 63-66. The confusion always seems to be because of the wrap around window. So people think the 63 is the same as the 60-62, but the 63-66 has the same frame.
