HO52 Pinion retainer gasket - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Changing out my pinion seal which I already have but for the life of me cannot find the seal for the 5 bolt retainer plate. Ive read that most use RTV but I would like to use the gasket if there is one available. The official part number is 3843067 but I cannot find an crossover number.

Anyone have a source?

I don't think there made anymore. From what I understand these Easton's are like dinosaurs. You can get some gasket paper and make one yourself.

RTV is about your only option...I've got my H052 ripped apart (destroyed spiders and carrier) and I'm just replacing it with a 14 bolt because you can't get parts for these things!

That particular gasket is the only maintenance part I cannot find for it (other than a new r&p). Yes they are a bit more expensive than a 14BFF but since the only problem with it is the pinion seal I cannot see swapping out the axle just for that.

Randys sells a Yukon gear overhaul kit for just under $500 which is a bit steep and I dont think I would spend that much to rebuild it and only at that point would I consider swapping it out.

Just wondering how you killed your Eaton?
