oil cooler
So I was hanging at my buddy's place diagnosing the blower motor. BS ing as usual. He offered up the oil cooler off his 88 Suburban since he had to remove it when he swapped the 73 front clip, it wouldn't fit the core support. Seems his Sub has a HD package installed, big brake booster, big radiator, 1.25 rotors that I could see.
Would it be beneficial to install the oil cooler on my C10. I do tow often. Second, how can my buddy remove the cooler adapter from his engine? He was told the adapter couldn't be removed so he just installed plugs where the lines connected. |

Re: oil cooler
I would take it. Also you can remove the adapter from the engine. You will need to swap the adapter and the bolts from the Suburban to your truck. And you will need to swap the bolts and the oil filter mount from your truck to his. Fel Pro sells the gasket kit for the adapter setup.
