New truck 65 4x4
So I did what I said I would never do, I sold my 66 2wd shortbed with the big bad 455 in it. It was a tire smoker but it never bested 10 mpg and in the snow it would spin tire at idle (better tires would have helped a little) I had to sell it and get something else. So I got a 65 longbed fleetside 4wd with a brand new sbc, granny low 4 speed, 205 tcase and dana 44s. I bought it for 2500 but it needed a lot of work, I got some of it done but, after two weekends of 14 hr. days all it will need is lights, winch, paint, crossover steering and new front leafs. Everything that was changed over the years was swapped with parts off a 75 chevy 4wd pickup so I get parts for a 2wd 65 or a 4wd 75. I have yet to do any real wheeling in it but so far it has done whatever I ask without slipping a tire, plus it gets 15mpg around town so now I put 20 in it every week and a half instead of every 2-3 days. Any paint color suggestions? I will be running black trim, bumpers, wheels and mirrors I don't want it murdered out I was thinking matte tan, blue or green. Thanks in advance-AJ
