What's Wrong With This Picture?
Is it just me or my new McGaughy's 2.5 Drop Spindles? Spent all day today putting together my new front end components, when installing the caliper on the right side (last bolt), the top caliper bolt would not push all the way through, even rubs against the rotor. Should I take it apart and return, or take the caliper and rotor back off and give that area a little smack to gain clearance????? I'm hosed!! Probably should just give McGaughy's a call!
Left side went smooth though!!! Mike

I had similar experience with another brand of dropped spindles and had to "dress" the spindles and calipers with a file to make the bolts push in easily. I haven't driven my truck yet but I am hoping my calipers "float" correctly. I found that the area were the caliper sat was not allowing enough movement and causing misalignment of the caliper bolts on mine.

Looks like a defective spindle. Definitely contact them and get it resolved

I had the same issue with the same brand. It's not off as far as it looks. Some minor clearancing of the flat surface of the caliper bracket where the caliper slides corrected the issue. I never had any problems with the brakes as a result.
