Re: local junk yard vintage only

This yard is on a side hill. I mean goats look at this hill and go forget it... So these people rent you a mini van for $3. We drove all over every inch of the place. So we get back to the office and the lady says if you want to go up on the hill you will have to walk up.....um no we have already been there and done that....

Neat! Certainly don't see many C30's with the 9' stepside bed. Also looks like it has the 19.5" wheels on it...I kind of want some of those...probably really ought to have a spare bed, too...upstate NY is really just a few short hours away, isn't it?

Good eye! Those wheels must be saved! Who knows how many rare wheels are just sitting around in those old yards till someone posts a photo.

Re: local junk yard vintage only

I'm totally envious of you guys that live in places that have these kind of yards. I always wondered if these places are reasonable with their prices or is the reason the classics are still around that they are proud of them. I sure could use the roof and BBW panels on that one cab.

Re: local junk yard vintage only

There is also a little place like that here is southeast Nebraska. He has kept lots of older stuff even when the price of iron went nuts. I am glad there are a few more of them out there. I will post pics next time I am there.
