Security - Mechanical Hood Lock

Hey everyone,

Does anyone have a good solution to lock the hood to prevent theft?

I found a mechanical locking device made by Megatronix (Megatronix - HL7 - 7 Foot Mechanical Hood Lock Cable With Ignition Interrupt)and wondered if anyone had installed it on their blazer and if it is a decent product?

Thanks for your time...

Nick

Haven't used it but it sounds like a good idea...

Sillyoldman,

Thanks for your response. Can you share a few more details around your installation and quality of the kit? Does it seem like some one could cut the cable and get the hood open or does everything install concealed....

Thanks

It's all concealed. The quality is very good imo. In fact at car shows I've had people ask me about the cable and not the vehicles (sigh). Installation is a breeze other than placing the hood bracket so have some patience.
