64 stepside tire size
I will be lowering my 64 stepside 4" in front and 5" rear and I want to put some performance street tires on but I need to know what will fit and what you guys recommend. I have 6 lug wheels I think they are 16in. I'm pretty sure they are stock but I could be wrong

Re: 64 stepside tire size
Check out this website.
It's all about how to size a rim to fit. https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

Re: 64 stepside tire size
I have a set of 275/55R17 in the rear of my 62 with a 5 inch drop. They barely fit after rolling the fender. they are on a 17 inch wheel but if you go to discounttire.com they have a tire size calculator to figure out what that will look like with a 16 inch wheel and the same width and diameter. There is a thread on this sight called let's see some wheel and tire picks. I would find the size I like from there and then ask that person what size they are.

So you MUST know what the back spacing is if you are gonna do this right the first time. Of course, duplicating someone else's exact setup will work too.
