74 Cruise Question
Was cruise control available on 1974 C20,s with the 4 speed standard, or any other year that can be adapted to a 74 C20 with standard

Can't answer the question regarding the availability of cruise in '74; the generic info packet in the GM Heritage Center does not get into that level of detail for '74.
https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...olet-Truck.pdf However, cruise was available with standard shift vehicles later in the lifecycle (like my '87, which has the MY6 manual overdrive trans). You could adapt one of these later systems; you just need to make sure you have a kill switch for the brake and then another switch for the clutch pedal. K

In the past I used AC solenoids to push the throttle out far enough for 70-75 mph depending on how my car was set-up. Its easy, and stupid cheap. The only down side is it is set up for 1 speed only.
