Smile Anyone used Inexpensive Insurance Here?

I don't know if putting this here is appropriate--if not, I'm sorry. But here goes.

After searching the net and getting several quotes and advice from locals, I insured 2 'specialty cars' and rate was unbelievable. Got upgraded limits, [$1 million, $100K, and $250K. Both un- & under-insured.] 10,000 unrestricted miles on each car, $50,000 agreed value(approx. 15K and 35K), went with $500 deductible--and annual premium was under $400 TOTAL. Vehicles covered were '66 C10 and low-mileage 2002 Z-28.

Company I used, with local agent about 10 minutes away, is ANICO, under American National Property & Casual, with what they term their CHROME program, anagram for:Classic Hot rod Replica, Original, Modified, Exotic cars.

Anyone ever used them or know of someone using them? Good experiences?

Thanks,
Sam

Re: Anyone used Inexpensive Insurance Here?

An important requirement for most "classic" or "specialty" coverage, is that the insured vehicle(s) are kept or stored in a fully enclosed, locked garage. Is this also the case with the company you got the quote from?

And that is why I have standard insurance.....

Most insurance companies will run from anything "custom" or "classic".

Yes. Just like most of these insurers, this one also makes that parking requirement.

Still wonder if anyone has feedback on this co.'s performance.

Thanks,
Sam

Oh yeah, and you better not use your truck as a daily driver. Only going to and from shows or for maintenance.
If you get into a collision on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning, you are screwed.

Inexpensive insurance is an oxymoron here in Ontario - just like jumbo shrimp.
Greg.

I use Hagerty as well. If you are in a collision on a weekday morning, you were taking the vehicle in for service.

I did Hagerty the first year I had my 65, but I probably shouldn't have. I drive my trucks too much so I just went with regular insurance ever since.

Re: Anyone used Inexpensive Insurance Here?

I have Farm Bureau cover everything I have, you have to be a member to gain the Insurance though.. $35.00 per year unless your a Agricultural Producer ,,, if you want that then your looking at $150.00 per year. They saved me a little over $1,800.00 compared to other insurance.
I use to have a 300 point 1957 MBZ 190sl... they covered it to.
