Question question about a c30 front k member change out

I have a 63 1 ton that I would like to change out the front k member to disk brakes so I need to know is a 3/4 ton front k member the same as a 1 ton? I have located and purchased a 1 ton 1990 dually rear end so now I have a buddy that has a 3/4 front k member and he says it the same but I dont know. by the way I want to keep the same rims so the front end will need to work with these rims.

If I recall correctly they are different. I'd measure for sure but I think the 3/4 ton will be slightly narrower than the one ton.

Re: question about a c30 front k member change out

The '73-'87 C20 front crossmember and control arms are the same as the C30's. You'll just have to change the spindles, rotors and calipers. I don't remember if the ball joints may be the same. I have a complete front suspension from a '73-'87 C20 bolted up under my '66 C30 project.

Very nice score on the disc brake differential. Is that a Dana 70 or 80?
