Exhaust manifold
I have a crack in one of my exhaust manifolds for a 1972 K/20 with a 350. I was looking at getting a replacement are ATP exhaust manifolds any good?
I am goin to be putting on headmen headers on the truck here in about 2-3 years I just need something to get me by for now. Or should I just throw a cheap pair of summit racing headers on it?and then just replace them later Last edited by comicaltatertot; 10-02-2014 at 07:02 PM. |

Re: Exhaust manifold
I would get a good used stock manifold and replace the cracked one. Straight down Ramshorn manifolds are available and affordable! If you go with headers later on the manifold should still be worth what you paid for it.

Re: Exhaust manifold
I bought the aftermarket (Chinese) ramhorns for my K10 sb. They fit ok and much cheaper than any OEM ones I was able to find. Of course everything here in SW PA is apparently lined with gold. I would have preferred OEM

Re: Exhaust manifold
To anyone owning or building just 1 of these trucks let alone a few . Take the time to search out all the old style JUNK YARDS ! Your local pick a part probably won't have much but every town has a few old trucks laying in an old closed junkyard or behind a old gas station ,Sometimes doing a little leg work will yield untold wealth of good used parts ! NOT EVERYTHING IS EASILY LISTED ON THE WEB AT YOUR FINGER TIPS !!! Sometimes you have to leave the cushy chair and put your feet on the ground .I would be willing to bet there are dozens of good used manifolds in every town it the US ...it doesn't have to have C-10 listed in front of it to fit .Many other models will fit .
