Hood hinge bolt disappeared into cowl...

Dropped one into the hole in the center of the picture and I can't see it. Is there an easier way to fish it out other than the way it went in? Thanks.

You may be able to take the fresh air vent off inside the cab and get to it.

Thanks guys. A buddy bought one of those HF engine cameras, so I can borrow that if need be to try to find it. I'll try the fresh air vent.

Unbolt the wiper motor from the firewall, remove the motor shaft nut and release the wiper shaft from the linkage. Then you can reach in and try to grab it.

I will try that. Is that hole really big enough to get an arm into?

IDK - depends on how big your forearm is. Maybe ask one of your kids or your wife to try.

Re: Hood hinge bolt disappeared into cowl...

My bet is that it is down the side of the cab between the inside firewall and the sheetmetal that sits behind the fender. IF you have a manual air ven on thedriver's side, pull it out and ifsh the bolt from there.

P.S. Turn the truck over and shake it real hard.
