'73-'87 Chevy/GMC upper control arm snubbers
I removed the snubbers from my upper control arms when I painted them and misplaced them. They were damaged anyway, but I've looked through countless vendor websites and have found nothing. Are these being reproduced?
They are the triangular shaped rubber snubber that installs from the bottom of the upper control arm and protects the control arm from interference when the suspension goes into full droop. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: '73-'87 Chevy/GMC upper control arm snubbers
Thanks for the quick reply, John.
Those are good for the '60-'72 C10/C20, and the '73-'90 C20/C30 models. Unfortunately, they wont work for a '73-up C10. I upgraded my '64 with a complete suspension from a '79 C10. The C10 style is rectangular in shape. I have even gone to the wrecking yard to get a pair, but when they put the trucks up on the stands and remove the wheels, the suspension droops and pinches the snubbers. They won't let you bring in the proper tools to bust a front suspension apart, and it wouldn't be worth the effort for a cheap piece of used rubber.

Energy suspension makes them in poly. Would that work? http://energysuspension.com/assets/f...on-catalog.pdf

Re: '73-'87 Chevy/GMC upper control arm snubbers
LMC doesn't picture the rectangular one, but the parts list breaks out the C10 with a separate part number for the rubber bumper.
Since I can't remember what it looks like, can a lower be used and trimmed to shape? http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...214_0324832371 Alex. |
