vacuum line from defrost?
where does it go? i have a line coming into engine compartment from firewall that goes to a T. then 2 lines from it are not hooked up to anything. my heat is blowing mostly on floor at all settings. there is a little coming out of front vents and none out of defrost vents.
ill post pic when i can if needed. |

I just fixed this on mine. I will post a pic of where it goes in a couple hours. It will be in the engine compartment on the firewall on the passenger side.

I forgot to take a picture but I snagged one off the internet and circled the piece I thi k the vacuum line plugs into. It should plug into a vacuum port on the underside of that small cylinder I circled in yellow if I recall correctly. Let me know if you have any questions.

One side of the tee should be connected to a manifold vacuum source and the other should go over to the vacuum reservoir (the spherically shaped tank on the firewall maybe outboard of the wiper motor or maybe near the evap coil box).
Without a vacuum source to the control head, your select switch won't control anything. |

There's also a check valve inline.
