looking for some title help

pick up dad and frame from a member on for a pickup bed and frame from a member in here. ( hey rob! ) so after 2 years i finally decided to go legitt and title it after i made it a trailer. so I fill out all the paperwork and wait for over an hour at motor vehicles just for them to tell me that I need to have the title to the truck that I made the trailer out of. This title is long gone I am sure. here is where I need help. Is there anyone out there who has junked a truck and has the old title laying around? I have no intention to register a new truck on this title and do not need the vin plate. I only need the title itself so they can write it off as a junk vehicle and that it will no longer be on the road. If anyone has one that they could send to me I would really appreciate it as I do not see any other way to register my trailer.

Can't you title it as home made ? Supposing you just welded up some angle iron and installed an axle under it ?

Re: looking for some title help

I would tell them you bought the rear section off of a junkyard truck years ago and just now got around to getting it road worthy and the title is long gone because the title isn't required to scrap cars manufactured before like 1979 or something like that, so it's a loophole and they have to register it for you.

Re: looking for some title help

Unfortunately due to the legalities of the buying and selling titles subject, I have to lock the thread. We can not allow tag and title sales in the forums. Hope this all works out for you quickly and simply. I hate legal red tape too..
