Column shift lever bump
What?? I've read a few posts about shifters. I'm considering moving from the column to the floor, ...no particular reason, I just want a floor shifter in my '50 3100. Anyway, some talked about (removing) the "column shift lever bump"...what the hell's that? Is it the indentation in the dash that's needed for the column shifter shaft??

Re: Column shift lever bump
I think it is. That bump, as you call it, is also not centered between the gauges. I filled in mine and will centre the column between the gauges.

Re: Column shift lever bump
It is the bump from where the column shifter hooks into the collar of the column on the later 60-80s colums. (Just guessing)
