Re: check this 72 out
When I was going in the car biz back in the late 80's the county judge guy called me about buying an old ambulance they had sitting around that the county didn't use any more. He wanted $300 for it. It was almost the twin to that one except for buckets and tilt with tack. It too was a 402 t400 I didn't care much for that style at that time. My brother is the one who liked them he was still alive then, he is the one that got me fired back up on those trucks after his death. Jim

Re: check this 72 out
It took the county like 6 or 8 months to sell at $300 also. It was a running driving rig. Jim

Yes they are. Looks a little stained but cleanable.
I've got the same bench/cloth - wish mine were as nice. Sweet ride.

Re: check this 72 out
Did you see the A/C unit? Looks like the Tecumseh I had on a 1964 Thunderbird. Anyone know if they used those on ambulances? May have more capacity to cool that large area.

Re: check this 72 out
This is my Ambulance, I bought it 2 years ago and I really like it, but I have too many toys and not enough time to restore it. It is one of the nicest Suburbans of this vintage that I have ever seen. It only has 43,000 miles on it and has very minimal rust. If anybody knows someone that might be interested have them get ahold of me. Thank you, Mike Buchanan (quartermiler)

But just think how many lives may have been saved in the back of it. I was a Paramedic for 30 years, you have to look on the bright side!

Re: check this 72 out
Looks pretty sweet to me. Someone should buy it & remodel it to look like Ecto-1 from the Ghostbusters movie http://polariseffect.com/wp-content/...7/48312039.jpg
