Kingpins on 3100
Has anyone replaced their kingpins? I'm just wondering if standard .866 dia. or .010 over is the normal. Also, has anyone had to replace the beam axle due to kingpin wear?

Been 30 years since I did a set but I tell ya how we did it. Used a snap on king pin press to get them out. The beam axle was never a problem with wear but some time a big problem getting pis out. A little heat would help. The bushing in the spindles would get pushed out and new ones pushed in. Then we would use a long reamer and ream them to size to a good fit on the new king pin. Then drill the grease hole and take a die grinder and work the grove for the grease to get around the pin. There were bushings available that did not have to be reamed but the old school way I was taught seemed to work the best.
