electrical problems and distributor problems
my 72 had an old hei dist. that was not working but when i replaced it and wired it the same. it halts power to anything what could be stopping it and how could i possibly fix it. thank you for the help. i have an electric fuel pump hard wired with a switch so i know the battery is working its no electricity to the engine and cab the lights wont turn on or anything

Sounds like something is wired wrong (obviously).

Does everything work if the HEI is not hooked up? Where is the 12 volt power wire connected? LockDoc
