heater hose fitting on intake - size?
I need a new heater hose fitting for my new intake that's going to be on my new crate engine....I don't have the engine yet so I can't check it for myself....
the intake is this : http://www.summitracing.com/parts/nal-10185063 Would it be 3/4 or 5/8 ? summit says 1/2 but that's not an option (unless they are talking about the diameter of the actual hole not the part the hose connects onto)

Re: heater hose fitting on intake - size?
They are describing the thread size in the manifold for the heater hose (1/2 NPT-national pipe thread). On the summit site look at the PSST fittings- pricey but very nice. Bruce

Re: heater hose fitting on intake - size?
Usually the intake to inlet (bottom) of heater core is 5/8 ID, return form the core to radiator or water pump is 3/4 ID.
