flip kit on a c20? do I need to notch? how far back do I have to move the centering p

I have to pull the bed off my truck so I figured wile I was under there I would clean up and paint the frame and lower the truck. That being said this trucks a beater cclb camper special truck. I'm going to just weld new axle perches under the rear after I set the pinion angle. A couple questions I have are how far back to I have to set the rear centering pin holes on the new perches I've read 3/4 and 1 inch. Also with the 3/4 ton truck do I need to notch the fame or remove my rear sway bar? Thanks for the help
