Factory Tie Downs?
My '60 Fleetside has U-bolts on the outside of the bed for tie downs. Stupid question probably but could they be original?

Re: Factory Tie Downs?
My 66 had them and when I got it it just had the holes. I got a set from a member here off another 66 and they fit just fine in the existing holes. Not 100% sure but I think they were a dealer installed option. I have seen several trucks with the same hooks.

Here is a picture of one side. They look like regular U-bolts.

Re: Factory Tie Downs?
Nope that is not the ones you see on a lot of these trucks. They do look like just u bolts. Where are you in Virginia?

Re: Factory Tie Downs?
Mine has the hook type. Painted them black and they help break up the color on my long fleet. I believe a dealer option.

Re: Factory Tie Downs?
Dealerships could install anything you wanted, however those are not a GM authorized accessory. Side Rails were a authorized accessory.
