ON THE MODEL # ce31003 did they make a 1 ton in pick up style?, I know the bed has been replaced with about a 73 style i think, coult this truck have been a flat bed or stake bed?

VIN- CE331Z663925
C= Chassis Designation ConventionalCab 2wd E= Engine V8 Gas 3= GVW 1 ton 3= Model Chassis/Cab 1= Year 1971 Z= Assembly Plant Fremont Ca. 663925= Unit build # Model #CE31003 C= Chassis Designation ConventionalCab 2wd E= Engine V8 Gas 3= GVW 1 ton 10= Cab To Axle Dimension 10= 60-65" 03= Cab Only ( Excluding Full Air Brakes ) Well all the info says it was a 1971 1ton Chevy cab only, sounds as though someone just installed to short a bed ( IE- a longbed ) for it since its a 133" wheelbase a Longhorn bed would fit correctly.
