Re: short fleet bed only
post several good pics so we can give an accurate price. from what you stated that could range from $700 to $1,500 around here for just the bed, plus $100 to $300 for the gate alone.

Re: short fleet bed only
Since shipping will be very expensive, take palletizing or crating, and risk to damage from handling, the value is based on local market. My hunch would be $500-800.
For an example, back 6-7 years ago I wanted to buy a Stepside bed from a member in TX for $300. He was going to have to break it down and ship on a pallet (consider the labor, loading, and transporting to freight terminal). It was going to cost $500+ back then to ship and I know rates have risen sharply since then. Breaking a Fleetside w/steel floor wouldn't help reduce size by much and would be more work than worth. I imagine shipping a loose bed would be very expensive today

Re: short fleet bed only
I would not ship it. would be local pickup only. I bought another short stepside today and may keep it unless I get too good of an offer.

Re: short fleet bed only
I'm just saying the value is based on where it is located. It's worth $1,000-1,500 Back East here, but that's because it has to get here and no matter how it got here it would cost money to do it. If a local one survived as well here, it would be worth what one shipped from Texas would cost.

Re: short fleet bed only
It's worth $500-700 on the West coast. Don't see many sell above $600. Steppers are worth less, usually rust free $200-600. I had a rust free stepper and took forever to sell lol Fleets are easy to sell.

Re: short fleet bed only
given as straight as that floor looks, and that it comes with the tailgate, i would value that at a solid $1,000 maybe a bit more in CA. not sure about houston but everyone is looking for them here, i see want to buy ads more than i see for sale ads.
