Vin questions

I've checked my vin but can't figure out options and engine my 62 came with from factory. Any ideas how to find out?

nope, not off the vin, if you are lucky you might find a build sheet in the seat springs, otherwise, it would just be guesswork.

Nope.

The GM Heritage Center Archives go back as far as 1976 for US built and/or sold vehicles.

GM of Canada has more extensive records but the vehicle must have been built in Canada or built in the US for Canadian usage.

You can figure out, albeit very slowly, but just do lots of reading and looking at pictures of stock trucks and you can usually get close on some of the options your truck may have had. What kind of condition is your truck in? If its been re-painted and lots of stuff missing, then it will be difficult. Its like a puzzle.

It'd a 62 lwb step side sitting on a 63 frame cab is only thing in good condition atm and has a 350 I'm sure it was a straight six truck
