Gauge install
I'm looking at installing my AFR meter where my clock is located on my 79 the clock doesn't work anymore and with a radio and cell phone there is no need for one. What would be the best way to install this so I can put the clear plastic and metal piece back over the rest of the gauges and use the factory bezel. Also if I cut into the back of the cluster I believe there is a circuit board there was that part of making the clock work or is it open around where the clock was

Re: Gauge install
all i can tell you is that the circuit board is a separate piece from the bezel, so you can cut / dremel an opening in the bezel and not damage the circuit board, here are some pics, the bezel is the one that comes with a dummy brake light in the hole you are talking about but it's just to give you an idea, I think the clock bezel does not have that cylinder protruding up like that
