Tonneau cover options for Short Fleetside trucks??
Right..........
I do need some advice, alternate thinking or simple solutions. I have now made it this far with my truck. Leaving me with this lot. However, it would mean leaving the holes drilled all the way around the loadbed which in turn ultimately rust out at some point, and if I am going to repaint the truck, it is not ideal. Looked like this till this week. So what options are there out there to replace the press studs, but keep the functionality of the cover, and the look?? One idea I had was strips of ally with the studs fitted to then, with ally posts that fit into the post holes, but then I do not know how I would secure the rear of the cover. I have searched for roller shutter type covers that may fit inside the frame of the load body, but found very little. Ideally I do not want a rigid lift up type cover, as one needs to store it so we here when not in use. Ideas, suggestions are all welcome.

Rian, check out a company called Truxedo. They have a decent looking low profile roll-up one.

You can contact Gaylords but be prepared to mortgage the house, they are $1k here in the states, I cant even imagine what they would be shipped to you across the pond!
I have heard great things about Extang http://www.ebay.com/itm/Extang-2320-...-/331028550006

What about the soft tonneau again, but on a frame.

Glad to help. You'll have to let me know how it works out cause I was thinking of one for my 64, but I haven't saved up my pennies yet.

Thanks for posting.
Are you able to show more detail of the underside and fitting please? Also, how are you finding living with it ??
