replacing cab floor
just finished getting the cab stripped and discovered the floor is worse than I thought so looks like a complete floor. do I need to brace side to side and length ways. does anyone make a patch from the seem up the fire wall. AMD has something but I cant figure out just what it is and LMC looks like the floor from the seem back.

Re: replacing cab floor
I replaced the floor in my cab this summer. We ran braces from one door to the other door making an X ( front door jab to back door jab on both then spotting them in the middle ) then on one side I ran a brace front to back on the X. We spot welded where the door weather stripping would cover and marks. Worked great for us! I used the floor out of a donor cab. Not sure about any patch panels from the seam up. Good luck!

Re: replacing cab floor
thanks. I've been thinking all along of the braces like you did but was concerned about being able to get the floor in and out for fitting. the cross bracing would really help lifting the cab on and off when it comes time for the new motor and trans mock up.
