New Guy from Las Vegas

Hi and glad to be here. I am the proud new owner of a 1990 G30 1-ton cargo van! I bought the van about a week ago. It was a one-owner vehicle, purchased new by the City of Phoenix, AZ in 1990. As expected, it appears to have been pretty well maintained. I flew down to Phoenix from Vegas and drove the van home. It did great on the highway. It has a strong 5.7L TBI V8, a TH400 transmission and 3.73 gears in the rear end. Also, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, heavy-duty radiator, transmission oil cooler, engine oil cooler, 100 amp alternator, 33 gallon fuel tank and 8600 GVWR. When I left Phoenix, it had approximately 88,000 miles on the odometer, which works out to around 3500 miles/year. She's not real pretty to look at--the paint is peeling like a bad sunburn and there are a few dings here and there, but I love it! I'll be posting in the appropriate forum regarding some TBI issues I'm having at idle and low speed, but just wanted to introduce myself here first. I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can about care and maintenance of my "new' van, so I'll say thanks in advance.
