Fluid Capacity!

anybody know how much tranny fluid goes in a stock 700r4?
mine should prolly be changed soon... wish i had more time...

If your just dumping what's in the pan it will be..... 5qt's.

If it's totally empty including torque converter then it's about.... 2.5 gal. +or- .5 gal.

Every time I've changed my tranny filter, it's took between 6 to 7 quarts to refill. A lot depends on how long you leave the pan off. Most of the time it takes 6.5 quarts.
