swapped to a 454/400 and going no a long horn frame and bed with step side fenders for the dually set up with 80s axels and brakes

That will be a cool truck! I think the 1 tons with the dual wheels are something that people overlook when thinking about doing a truck. my son-in-law bought one that has a great cab and doghouse. We were going to build it to pull a 5th wheel camper, but he was exposed to a chemical at his work and now unable to work so it will have to be sold. Good luck with your project, keep us updated with pictures.
