What headers are you running? Was told 2466 HKR Hooker Compatition was what works with Porterbuilt clip.

Those are 1970 CHEVROLET EL CAMINO Hedman Elite Heavy-Duty Headers 68608
Summit's PN HED-68608. My front suspension is stock except for the drop spindle/disc set up.

Re: 60-62 dual exhaust pic

It looks like your application for headers is the same as mine....It seems this style is most popular in the GM Chevelle/Nova's

Re: 60-62 dual exhaust pic

My motor was up against firewall on stock v8 spot now forward with new Porterbuilt crossmember. More room. It's the hydraulic cluch that got in the way.

Re: 60-62 dual exhaust pic

Or, perhaps some pieces are available pre-bent?

I just saw this thread and realized you were asking for some info on parts used to make my exhaust....I started with the two kits below and also used two stainless flexible joints I scored on eBay for cheap. That's about it for my system other than some stainless tips I had. Since I used a Torsion front I chose the "x" pipe to travel between the two torsion keys. I did it myself using most of the pipes in both kits. Also I had used the "imco" mufflers from Summit...

Re: 60-62 dual exhaust pic

Perfect.
Having a 62 X-Frame under my 65, I was hoping I could find a kit that would work with the X-Frame.
I'm also keeping the torsion bar suspension.

Re: 60-62 dual exhaust pic

You have to get creative when using a torsion bar set up....its just in the way to be easy. That x pipe is the lowest point of my whole truck so the skid plate protects both the exhaust and keys....
