Jon,

Thank you for your service to our country. Servicemen (and women) are the reason we are able to have our freedoms ---- which isn't free....... it was/is paid for with Veteran's blood.

Take care,

You'll be fine.

Member of Uncle Sams Misguided Children from 69-75, most of that tour in mechanized units as a truck and armored mechanic. Good bit of that time was outside the US and not around friendlies. Young and not married. Can't say everywhere I've been, but I'll say its easier to look forward to going than not. The getting there was the worst part and even it wasn't too bad.

When I think of all the new places I go or have been to in this country where you can't tell friend from foe and I probably should have been armed, going to a hot spot has its benefits, because you have some idea what to expect and you are armed.

As a wrench you will be very popular and you will be protected. Very few people like to walk long distances with heavy stuff on their back or push a tank or 5 ton truck.

Behave there the same way you behave at home... be careful.
