Got a new sticker for the back window

I liked the designs in the Chevy only thread and wanted to do one for my truck. I get asked a lot what year my truck is even though it has 1966 plates on it. So I drew up a decal from a picture of a truck and made the plate read 1966. Will see how it works to help folks who walk up and look at the truck.

Re: Got a new sticker for the back window

Nice job, but the NON AIR CONDITIONED sticker really caught my eye! lol

Do you know anyone that can make a stencil for painting letters on an air cleaner?

Re: Got a new sticker for the back window

That looks like it may have been pad printed. I have done stencils in the past but not sure the materials we used to use to would work for lettering that small.

Those are both great. The Non-AC I like best.

Re: Got a new sticker for the back window

Pad printing is like a rubber stamp. A machine would tap the pad onto a paint pad then press the pad on the air cleaner top. The paint comes off the pad and onto the lid. Very fast and efficient way to paint on the lettering. Process is still used today. Popcorn glad you like it. I still have all my equipment from the sign business that I closed a couple of years ago and just use it to do fun stuff like these decals.

Re: Got a new sticker for the back window

I don't mind making up a batch of them and can change the year to 64 or 65. I just need see what the rules are for selling some decals here and do what I need to to follow the rules. I am sure the non air conditioned one and some of the others I have would be good sellers.

I would love to get my hands on some of the non-air conditioned ones. That is pretty nice, both of those look good.

Re: Got a new sticker for the back window

If you find out you can sell them, put me in line for 3 of the A/C ones.
Not to be critical, but do you think the truck would look better if the windshield was black?
