3/4 ton rear coils on 1972 c10?
I have a 72 c10 and plan on pulling a travel trailer as well as the occasional trailer load of firewood. Will i be able to remove my 1/2 ton coils and put in these AC DELCO # 45H2012 C20 coils? I'm wiling to replace a few parts if needed. Im not too concerned with ride quality which seems to be a downside with the heavier spring.

Yes, they will bolt right in. Same with the front too.

Thanks! Ill probably order them then. And thats great to know on the fronts. I wonder if there would be any benefit to running the heavier spring on the front? The truck has a small block so not too heavy.

Stock c20 springs are the same load rate as heavy duty c10 springs. I can't find ithe links right now but if you search around here there are a few threads where people list different springs you can use.
Also if you don't want a stiff ride, you may coincided using helper springs http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=555869

I put new 3/4t coils with Air Lift helper springs (bags inside coils) and that worked out really well. Used the truck as if it was a 3/4t for daily work

Was it expensive or require special fabrication to get that setup?
