Early 60s bed on 64 frame
I'm sure it's been asked but I've searched though the threads and didn't see what I was looking for. Got a bed for my k20, at least I hope, from a pickup bed trailer that is a 60-62 x frame. Will it bolt up to my 64 k20 without too much modification? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Re: Early 60s bed on 64 frame
the x frame is 45 inches wide, the others are 33, (approximate), so the mount holes need to be moved in the bed, or the frame mounts extended...

Re: Early 60s bed on 64 frame
So i can probably just drill new holes in the bed that line up with the existing mounts?

No the tabs welded on the back brace are in different locations and need to be moved in. the other braces are also to wide and need to be drilled in the correct location or changed out with later braces. my 64 has a 62 bed and that's what I did.

Re: Early 60s bed on 64 frame
Ill have to look at it when its next to it, couldnt pass up on a very straight bed for 200 dollars, so hopefully its not too much of a task to get it put in the right place. Dont want to be wasting my time, and if I am someone let me know haha

Re: Early 60s bed on 64 frame
I have done it both ways you just need to get the right bed frame and change them out no need to drill new holes.
