fuel gauge anyone?

I accidentally screwed up my fuel gauge while i cleaned my cluster and I dont want to take it all apart to put a new fuel gauge. Plus, I dont have the money right now to purchase an oem one. Anyone have any cool tricks to running a different fuel gauge or have something that they would like to get rid of? Im still a newbie to these things. Thanks
