Picture request
I'm trying to put my 59 back together and I'm having some issues putting the front end together. Would someone be willing to put up some pictures of how the radiator support mounts and how it ties into the inner fenders
Thanks in advance Dave

Re: Picture request
Can't get you photos, but I can try and scan pages from the factory assembly manual this weekend.

Re: Picture request
Radiator support bolts to the frame at bottom on a raised pad.
Inner fender mounts to firewall bracket at bottom, and to radiator support at bottom with bolts and large reinforce grommet. Inner fender bolts to radiator support at top with two bolts. On mine one side was shimmed to set the fender gap. Grille surround bolts to radiator support and fenders. Fenders bolt to grille surround, inner fender, cab near top or firewall and lower cab at rear bottom. This is where you start setting door gaps, making sure the top, bottom and back have already been addressed. On mine one side did fine, on the other I had to apply pressure on the eye brow area from inside to rotate the fender to get the rear bottom clearance. I also had to readjust the inner fender and radiator on that side to move it forward a little. One of the issues I had was the truck at some time has been hit on the passenger from the front. During body work I "fixed" some bent panels. Putting it back together I found they had been modified by the previous body guy in the 60's to repair the damage, so I had to reverse a couple of my fixes! Once that is set drop on the hood and check the gaps, mine needed shims to get the correct side gap at the front. Once I get the springs and latch on I am sure I will need to fiddle with it more.
