What is a 305 v6 worth ?
Hi what is a gmc 305 v6 worth ? it does spin over by hand, complete less carb they said it did run years ago.

305 is a darn good engine. They last forever. Running I'd say $600. Not running I'd say $350. Parts are available so don't let buyers try to bring you down in price with the "its gonna be hard to find parts for" excuse. lol But if its a good running engine that needs a carb $350..$400 is fine. Which one is it? A,B,C,D or E?

I'll have to say that from what I've seen I'd personally expect something more like $100-200 for one.

I have a 305 needs bottom end I checked Napa and a few others.. I am putting a 327 in it as we speak...... not much available for the V6 and what you can find is pricey

I think they're value depends on demand. If nobody wants it, you'll be hard pressed to get rid of it. I took mine to the dumps years ago when I couldn't find any takers even for free.

Whatever scrap is currently paying. They are not too common but seem to be undesirable as well. I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear but it's what it is.
