hydraulic clutch parts wanted
Hello, I'm in need of a hydraulic setup for a auto to manual conversion on my 1970 truck. I'm going from a TH350 to a SM465 and am looking for the clutch/brake pedal assemly, clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, hydraulic bell housing and misc. hardware. I think it should be from 85 and on. Any hints on the best situation or years to use is appreciated. Thanks.

Conversion
I don't have a lot of experience with the hydralic slave setup but first, why the slave conversion. Why not use just the standard linkage setup? Second. my GMC, 2wd with 4spd, has a lighter pedal than the 85 3/4 with 4 spd.
Just a thought before you reengineer something that works fairly well. Someone else may have some thoughts and other experience. |

Ive read on various posts that the performance on 4x4 manual linkages can be problematic especailly when wheeling - as the frame is flexing. Another consideration, (I'm guessing) is that when runnig a heavy duty clutch setup the hydraulic situation would require less foot input/pressure.
So I thought this might be the prefered way to go...to hydraulic Thanks for your intrest. Jeff |
