What insurance company?
I have almost finished my truck and I am ready for insurance. Which classic car insurance company is best, Hagerty or Grundy?

Re: What insurance company?
Neither,
Condon&Skelly You've never heard of them, but they are an offshoot of a Met Life that started a bunch of years back in NJ. They have changed over to only classic/collector/special use Auto. Agreed value coverage, no mileage limits, covers tools and incidentals, allows racing use of vehicles...and I pay less than any one I know. Very low overhead, very low rates. Service has been good, and they will dispatch an appraiser if you want. You can still get agreed val without it.

Re: What insurance company?
I have Hagerty, had them for over 3 years with both our 64 c20 and our 61 apache 10. On a side note, Hagerty offers build insurance too. We have it on the 61. Just incase, you never know.

Re: What insurance company?
I use Heathcock Classic Car insurance since 2005. The best I've experienced so far...after using Hagerty and my auto/home Nationwide bundle prior.

Re: What insurance company?
Hagerty...will not insure your truck as a DD if that's what you want it for.
Softco insured my 66 for 96 bucks a year with unlimited miles...but mine isn't fully restored either.

Re: What insurance company?
I have used both Grundy (have that on my Chevelle now) and Hagerty. Both are good companies with fair rates. I would check both and my buddy swears by American, but I have no knowledge of them.

Re: What insurance company?
I have a good friend that has American Collectors Ins Co. It is based in New Jersey. He has 5 cars insured with them. He's never had to file a claim with them, but the premiums are pretty low for the coverage you get.

Re: What insurance company?
As far as I know none of the collector car insurance companys will cover a daily driver .Hagerty is really easy to work with if you have a claim ,I have had 2 and have 4 insured with them.
