Pitman arm hitting the power steering ram bracket.

I have a 1965 C-10 with V8 and power steering. When we bought the truck we noticed that the steering wheel did not turn right as much as it did when turning left. It was only an inconvenience when parking or needing to make tight turns so it was pushed down on the list of things to do. Today I decided to investigate the problem. When the steering wheel is turned all the way to the right it stops short when the pitman arm hits the bracket that holds the fixed end of the power steering ram. I removed the Pitman arm to confirm that it was centered correctly, and it was. The pitman arm had a curve in it so I thought it might have been installed upside down but the small hole has a taper that keeps it from being flipped over.
Take a look at these photos and let me know if you know what I have here. Maybe wrong parts?

According to the parts book Pitman Arm 5690643 is the correct part number, however it does not state which years only that this type of unit ran 63-70. What number is cast on yours?

589025 does not appear in any of my parts book, strange.

Member 60-66 has the instruction sheets for power assist installation ,hopefully he can chime in. I'm in Lawton OK or I'd go look at my set ups to show the arm.

I looked in the 66 Shop Manual, it shows a flat straight arm. Nothing defining the length of the arm though.

Typo on my part Ron, thanks for pointing it out. I did however look up the correct number as mentioned.

Do you have more threads on the outer tie rods on one side than the other?
I'd say take it to an alignment shop and ask them to
1-Center the steering wheel
2-Center the steering box
3-Center the center link and tie rods.
Not necessarily in that order

1963 alignment specs remain unchanged for 64,65 & 66 at stock height.
For C14-15-P13
Camber (Curb) +0degrees12'
Caster (Curb) +2degrees27'
Toe-In 3/16 total
