Re: front license plate bracket
Before you drill check with your DMV. In some States historic or rods do not have to have a front plate. In Idaho you can use old year of manf. plates. Because 1959 trucks only had s rear plate I do not need a front one since only one was originally made. I found a mint never used 1959 plate for mine.

Re: front license plate bracket
If you want it in the original spot someone can probably get exact measurements before the day is out. I've got the filler for my truck in the shed and and can measure it this afternoon if someone doesn't beat me to it.
I centered the plate on the bumper on mine and modified a bracket so it fastens to the center bumper bolt from the back side of the bumper and bends around the bumper. Or you can do the "that looks just right by comparing the location of your plate to a couple of stock trucks

Re: front license plate bracket
Here is the Utah law on year of manf plates. It does not specifically say only one is required, but text refers to "plate", you can probably find out with a quick telephone call.

Re: front license plate bracket
here in ohio in 1952 there were no plates you were issued only a windshield sticker. if i was to run with out a plate now i would be hauled away. i thank those who posted answers for me, now i know general location for the bracket.

Re: front license plate bracket
I looked at the wrong post for the State! here is the Ohio link, it looks like they were issuing plates starting in 1903, but maybe that just applied to passenger autos and not farm trucks???

Re: front license plate bracket
Since your truck is a '52 you can run '51 plates in Ohio.
