1969 Chevy Complete Lowering Kit Options

Hey, guys. This is my first post, and it's all about the stance. I've already rummaged through threads. So, bare with me. I have had a '68, '70, and now a '69 C10 Short bed. The first two were lowered already. Guys... just look at the photos of the '69 here. It's.... its ridiculous.

So, since the others weren't in need of the suspension treatment, I'm lost on where to even start.

My intentions are to put low pro tires, nothing less than 20" wheels, and a level 5" drop all the way around on this Chevy. However, the whole rubbing and non fitment thing is what I like everyone else is wanting to avoid. That's for later.

I've been told to go spindles on front and lowering blocks out back. I had someone steer me away from using shackles. This is all foreign to me though. Static drops as opposed to bags, etc. etc. All foreign.

Is there a site, a one stop shop to order a full kit other than Summit that can just provide me with everything I will need for a 5" drop on my C10? I want to be modest on the suspension pricing. Nothing over $500. I'll be having help with this project, but the guy is away for the next week. I want the parts to be on their way asap.

Thanks in advance! I appreciate any feedback.

Call these guys.
www.earlyclassic.com

And you're going to have to spend over $500 to get quality parts and a good ride.

Early Classics as mentioned by lolife99. And if you have tons of questions, do as suggested and call. And search for lowered trucks as well as there are TONS of threads that cover this with kit specifics and wheel and tire size, etc.

But a level drop is probably not what you want. My '69 is dropped 4 1/2" front and 7" rear, but I have a leaf spring truck with a DJM flip and 7" is where that put it. I have 27" front and 29" rear tires. Front is 2 1/2" ECE spindles with disc conversion and 2" lowering spring.

Personally, not a fan of 20" wheels. 17's or 18's look better IMO, but that's just my opinion.

3rd for Early Classic. I've been completely satisfied with all of their products, but more importantly, the customer service is second to none. Give those guys a call, tell them what you have and what you want your truck to do. They can put a complete package together for you.
