Where can I buy cotton batting?
We are redoing our '54 Chevy pickup bench seat. I need to find some 85/15 cotton batting to use. Anyone know where it can be purchased? Is it the same stuff you can buy at Joann Fabric?

JoAnns around here is overpriced bait and switch. I got mine from a local upholstery shop that also sells supplies.

Don't know how this compares to others but I found this last year when I was doing the interior of a 67 Firebird.

Wow, $$132, I'd visit JoAnnes or similar craft or fabric store.

Its about $60 + shipping The roll will be way more than you need for one seat- but better too much than not enough. I use 5 layers on bottom cushions, 4 layers on the upper cushions. When compressed down by the cover, this is pretty close to the original thickness. Don't forget to replace the burlap & jute layer... This is what I use directly over the springs: http://www.perfectfit.com/13049/1547...ing-64009.html Its extremely strong & durable, better than the original jute or horsehair. This keeps the spring assembly 'tied' together, so it works as one under the cotton. I put down a layer of burlap so it "looks" original from the bottom, a layer of this- then then cotton. Hope that helps! Ben
