Yes, I still fret about the 59 V8 hood emblem I let slip thru my fingers....

Re: Dont ya just hate this!
Well it looks to be well loved and licensed and driven so what's to hate? He probably got tired of mouth breathers stopping and trying to buy it for scrap price.

Re: Dont ya just hate this!
Thats exactly what happened...i made new friends too, it was parked on a used car lot...ive never seen it, so...hell yeah! I stopped. The guy at the lot was putting new tires and kingpins on it for someone in town. So yes, he finally wrote not for sale on it..he did ,however, make a call to the owner when $8000 cash came out...lol still, no sale.
I had a few original parts i offered to give if needed, its nice to see em like this! |

Re: Dont ya just hate this!
At least he did write the "NOT" in big letters.
A while back I was less than a mile from home when I saw a AD at a house parked about a football field length away from the road with the same kind of lettering on the windshield. So, I pulled up the driveway to read "Not for sale" but you couldn't read it from the road. Wonder how many others pulled up his driveway.

Re: Dont ya just hate this!
My 64 Chevelle and daughters 65 Mustang sits in the drive way and once or twice a week someone comes by and asks if they are for sale. I'm not a jerk about it and figure a sign, etc. might just draw attention or vandalism. I tell people we have to keep them together to stage old school Chevy vs Ford drag races....
