Door adjustment need help on 1948
Did everything I can and latch still hits striker plate, raised hinges up as far as I could. I noticed when I got the pickup the striker plate was already damaged from latch hitting it so bought new striker and latch. I'm thinking I need new hinges other door is fine.Thanks for any help.What's everyones thoughts ?

Rebuild the hinges yourself, its simple and straight forward. Google it. I just did mine.

Is the door even with the body line on the front? Remember, these trucks didn't fit very well at all from the factory so to get a "bestest" fit is about all you can expect. But the line across the top of the door should be pretty even at both front and back with the cab, within reason of course. It is NOT going to fit like a new 2015 Tahoe it's just not going to, not even close. But post some photos, is it tighter at the bottom front than the bottom rear? That means you don't want to go just "up" but move the door back on the lower hinge and/or in at the top hinge to bring the rear of the door up. Post some photos! Brian
