New fuel line almost there BUT.....

So I got the new fuel pump on but the inlet is pointing a different direction from the original unit. So I am going to make the new fuel line a bit different and try and angle the end towards to inlet of the pump.

Is it OK to have the line (or hose) go over this part of the frame (engine cradle)?

*You can just see the new fuel line sticking out towards the left. The new fuel line is green in color (Poly Armor). The opening is nearly facing the camera. I plan to extend it over the framing member and over closer to the pump. The pump is covering in a grey plastic bag.

So is it OK to have the pump come over top of that framing member?

Flare the end of the hose and clamp your rubber line on that short distance will be fine it actually better to have the rubber there and not a solid metal line all the way to the pump

^^ exactly. Put a bulb in that hard line to eliminate hose slippage. Easy to do with the flaring tool. And you do want a hose from frame to engine to take up movement & vibrations.

Re: New fuel line almost there BUT.....

Well that's great! Thanks fellas!

Now here are my last questions.

1). I decided (for reasons I have now forgotten) to go back with 3/8 th. inch tubing rather than the original 5/16 th. Is that a good idea?

2). I have wanted an extra fuel filter, locating it under the passenger side of the cab. Is that a good idea also?
