Hitch's
I'm checking to see if there is a difference between 67-72 the rear portion of the frame on the blazer and trucks. I bought a hidden hitch from a guy that had it on a 71 blazer thinking it would work on my 68 short box. Does not come close to fitting. Any response would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance |

Re: Hitch's
Obviously there is a difference since it won't fit your truck...I can say that the suburban rear frames are different that trucks. A few years back I parted a truck that was on a 4x4 suburban frame. They cut the back off and welded a pipe bumper on.

Re: Hitch's
Yes, they are different. The truck rails are straight while the Blazer/Sub rails are curved forming built in bumper mounts.

Re: Hitch's
For what it's worth.
I found a tow hitch for a 72 Blazer according to the paper works that came with it. It fit my 71 C20 2x4 truck really well. I just needed to drill 2 extra holes in the trucks frame to get all the 8 bolts in. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=603377

Re: Hitch's
Lowood77, FYI, I took one from a 72 blazer and installed it in my 67 SWB. Aligned it, drilled holes and it sits great behind the license plate, hidden...
